About the event
In collaboration with MAX Clothing Stores, we are thrilled to invite you to the first-ever MCA MAX MIX Runway Show on May 20, 2022! This singular event will celebrate MCA Denver, MAX Clothing Stores, and the vision of designer Amy Smilovic, Founder and Creative Director of Tibi. Please join us for a special evening of creativity, fashion, and joy, all the while raising meaningful support for the museum’s world-renowned Teen Programs.
We are inspired by our city’s creative, risk-taking, and adventurous teens. At the museum, where more than 10,000 teens come through our doors annually, we are constantly amazed by their willingness to push creative boundaries, their resilience in rebounding from failed ideas, and their collaborative embrace of the home away from home they’ve discovered at MCA Denver.
We hope you will be a part of this spring’s most anticipated and ambitious runway show. The benefits of supporting this event as part of the Host Committee include a private VIP cocktail reception with Amy Smilovic and Max Martinez, owner of Max Clothing Store.

Tibi, the New York City fashion house has become a worldwide brand over the past 20 years. It has become known for highlighting independent style and personality through its effortlessly polished designs. Tibi's IG Live Style Class is a weekly styling seminar hosted by Tibi’s Founder & Creative Director, Amy Smilovic. The series started in March 2020 and has allowed the brand to speak directly to its audience, discussing style from the lens of Creative Pragmatism —the mindset and approach to finding a way to style that is creative and highly pragmatic. Style Class has over 85 episodes and counting and 1.3+ million cumulative views.
As the discussion on Creative Pragmatism has evolved, Tibi has taken the conversation on tour in 2022, hosting seminars across global cities. After Dubai and Vancouver, the seminar comes to Denver.
On Thursday, May 19th, Amy Smilovic will be live at MCA Denver’s rooftop cafe and bar for an in-person Creative Pragmatism Seminar. You won’t want to miss this thrilling and rare opportunity to learn from and engage with one of today's visionary leaders in fashion.
