WHILE YOU’RE HERE
WHAT CAN I SEE WITH A TICKET TO THE MUSEUM?
Your ticket allows you to explore all of our current exhibitions on all four floors of the museum. Plus, there are often exhibitions created by or in collaboration with our MCA Teens in the Idea Box on the top floor. Feel free to also explore the Octopus Initiative library on the main level, where you can peruse artwork that you can enter to win and borrow for ten months.
HOW ARE EXHIBITIONS CHOSEN AT MCA DENVER?
MCA Denver is a non-collecting institution, meaning we do not have any permanent exhibitions. Exhibitions rotate two to four times yearly and are typically on view for two to four months. Our curatorial team is committed to presenting compelling work by leading local, national, and international artists. Exhibitions are organized two to three years in advance.
IS PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED IN THE MUSEUM?
You are welcome to take photographs in the museum for your personal, non-commercial use, unless otherwise posted in a specific gallery. Flash photography and tripods are not permitted. Share your photos and videos on social media and tag us @mca_denver on Instagram or @mcadenver on TikTok.
All commercial or portrait shoots must be approved and scheduled in advance and must take place outside of regular museum hours. Rental and staffing fees may apply. Email rentals@mcadenver.org to learn more.
All photo requests, including requests for images of objects or the building for publication, can be directed to media@mcadenver.org.
WHERE CAN I STORE MY BACKPACK/COAT/LOAF OF BREAD?
Lockers are available on the first floor. Quarters can be requested from the Visitor Services Desk. We ask that all oversized items be stored in a locker – including backpacks, purses, coats, and shopping bags. Traveling from out of town? The front desk can store your luggage for you.
WHERE ARE THE BATHROOMS?
Gender-neutral restrooms can be found on the first level near the lockers to the right of the elevator and on the third floor in the café area behind the bar or in the Idea Box. Men’s and women’s restrooms can be found on the basement level to the left of the stairs.
DO YOU HAVE SEATING IN THE GALLERIES?
