Drop City Screening
Join us for a screening of Drop City, the film documenting the iconic 1960s artist commune.
In 1965, Clark Richert, Gene Bernofsky, and Jo Ann Bernofsky bought a small piece of land near Trinidad, Colorado and started the Drop City settlement. They were soon joined by other artists, writers and inventors, and they started building a community that celebrated creative work. This is the story of eccentric innovation and the drive to create a new civilization on the scrapheap of a wasteful society.

FAQs
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Street parking is limited. The garage directly across 15th Street is $5 after 4pm. The museum is walking distance from Union Station and the 16th Street Free Mall Ride. Please don't drive if you plan on drinking.
What if I'm really really thirsty before the event?
We have happy hour up in the cafe from 5–7PM. We recommend you grab a drink before the screening begins, and you're welcome to bring it down to the Whole Room.
Can I check out the galleries after the talk?
Unfortunately, the galleries will close at 7PM when the screening begins. We recommend checking out the galleries beforehand, but you can also bring your Drop City Screening ticket back for free admission to the museum within a month after the screening.
