Yu Chneg Chou

Yu-Cheng Chou draws from the visual repertoire of found digital images, ranging from computer game animation to advertising photography and traditional East Asian landscape painting. His project for MCA Denver deconstructed the superficial world of fashion and glamour magazines and highlights the dehumanization of computer-generated graphics.
Yu-Cheng Chou was born in 1976 in Taiwan. This was Chou’s first exhibition in the United States. Chou holds a BA from Taiwan National University of the Arts, Taipei and an MA from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris. In 2005, he received the Taipei Award for Excellence. He has had solo exhibitions at Open Art Contemporary Art Center, Taipei, Taiwan, and Galerie ColletPark, Paris. He lives and works in Paris.
