If you've never started a sentence, "So, I'm listening to this podcast ..." then your life is about to change. And if you have, then get excited to Shut Up & Listen! This new Spring Event Series will celebrate the art of live storytelling, add in some comedy, and combine it with a live podcast taping in our very own cafe. And while learning stuff is great and everything, laughing your ass off is important too, which is why we're bringing in local comedians to do their thing. You'll walk out of the event feeling smarter yet can still use LMAO in your status updates.

Join us, March 23, for the live taping of Denver's local podcast, Raconteur DenverRaconteur Denver is a live storytelling podcast that combines the joy of exploring new locations (like MCA Denver), meeting new people, and hearing stories from Denver's diverse communities.

After the taping, comedian Christie Buchele will take the stage to do her thing.

Christie Buchele is an up-and-coming standup comic from Denver, Colorado. Christie made a name for herself by being a frequent and popular contributor at the city's plethora of open mics, but has recently gained wider attention at a variety of contests and festivals. She placed third in Comedy Works' illustrious New Faces Competition in 2013, and has performed at both the Crom Comedy Festival in Omaha, Nebraska and Denver's own High Plains Comedy Festival. Christie co-hosts a humorous relationship advice podcast called Empty Girlfriend, and reps the Mile High City hard while crushing audiences with a wry, biting style that’s a bit sweet, a bit surly, and really, really funny.

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Street parking is limited. The garage directly across 15th street is $5 after 4pm. Please don't drive if you plan on drinking.

What if I'm really really thirsty before the event?

Good news for you because happy hour starts at 5PM (and goes until 7PM)  and since the event takes place in the cafe, you can chug responsibility throughout the show.

Can I check out the galleries and cafe before or after the event?

Totally. Your ticket gets you access to the entire museum, so do it up right.
