TARRA2017 will highlight the perspectives of industry leaders, focusing on a conversation about how design affects politics; how politics affect design; and how we can use design to effect meaningful change in the world.

The lineup includes events, exhibits, and gatherings, with the mission to champion women who are elevating industry standards and driving innovation in their fields.

The Politics of Design presented by MCA Denver will include presentations and a panel featuring boundary breakers, rule benders and risk-takers from around the country.

• Meg Vazquez: a designer and illustrator based out of Brooklyn, NY, who was the lead designer for social media and rapid response on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign
• Mandy Vink, Public Art Coordinator for Boulder’s Office of Arts + Culture
• Tariana Navas-Nieves, Director of Cultural Affairs for Denver Arts & Venues
• Kirsten Leah Bitzer, Photojournalist whose work emphasizes the human condition of marginalized groups and individuals
• Jamie Licko, President at Centro, Inc. and President of RiNo Art District
• Marianne B. Holbert, AIA, Associate Director and Senior Instructor for the Program in Environmental Design at the University of Colorado Boulder
