On Wednesday, June 28th, join Derrick Velasquez and Peter Miles Bergman at MCA Denver for a discussion about Velasquez's current exhibition at the museum, Obstructed View. Velasquez will talk with Bergman about the work in the exhibition and how it fits within the scope of his practice, as well as the political ideas behind some of the work.

Derrick Velasquez moved to Denver after graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara (BFA) and the Ohio State University (MFA). Since his arrival in Denver, Velasquez helped to found TANK Studios and established Yes Ma'am Projects. He teaches in the Department of Art at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He is represented by Robischon Gallery, Denver, and Pentimenti Gallery, Philadelphia.
Peter Miles Bergman is an Assistant Professor of Art in Communication Design at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He is the Creative Director and Publisher of the Institute of Sociometry (is), co-editor of Raw Fury, and the President of the Board of the Letterpress Depot. He holds a BFA from the University of California at San Diego and an MFA in Visual Communication from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
