About the DJs
Halfrobeats (Dele Johnson) specializes in music that celebrates the diverse sounds of Blackness across the African Diaspora. Exploring the rhythms of Afrobeat, Afrohouse, Dub, Reggaeton, Baile Funk, Hip Hop, and more. He is the host of two radio shows on KUVO Jazz - the Jazz Odyssey (10pm-12am Thursday nights) and the Global Soul Lounge (10pm-12am Saturday nights).
From October 2022-October 2024, HipxGawd has hit the ground running, having garnered the support of not only some of the most up and coming and sound shaping entertainers (DJs) in the local and state scene, but now Djing alongside industry powerhouses in the hip hop, Afrobeat, Amapiano, and Latin music domain of Colorado. Being of Nigerian & Puerto Rican descent, his diverse background brings an eclectic range of sound blending & crowd interaction that is completely different to any experienced in the venue stratosphere here in Denver.
