How to help victims of the Club Q shooting and other resources for support
We are devastated and heartbroken by the violence that took place in Colorado Springs last night. What’s more, this tragedy occurred on the eve of Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day meant to honor the transgender people who have been lost to violence. MCA Denver condemns this unconscionable act and stands with the LGBTQ+ community, today and every day.
We mourn the loss of five innocent lives: Daniel Aston, Kelly Loving, Ashley Paugh, Derrick Rump, and Raymond Green Vance.
And we are holding the 25 injured as well as our friends and neighbors in the Colorado Springs and LGBTQ+ communities in our hearts. Please see below for a list of resources and services for those in need of support and places to contribute to the victims' families. We will continue to update this as we get new information.
