MCA Denver presented Craigslist Assisted Readymades, an installation by Adriana Ramic for Denver's Month of Photography. Ramic's installation was borne of the artist’s interest in the surfeit of information available in the digital age. For this work, Ramic designed a program that actively searches the “Free Stuff” section on Craigslist websites across the United States. The group of images refreshes every eight seconds, offering a glimpse into the vast range of unexpected goods available for the taking.
Adriana Ramic was born in 1989 in Chicago. She received her BFA from the University of California San Diego in 2011. Her work has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit; Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Sweden; New Galerie at Yves Klein Archives, Paris; and Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna, among others. She lives and works in New York.
