MCA Denver is excited to host Read Out Loud at the museum in conjunction with The Stacks exhibition in the Open Shelf Library. Read Out Loud, originated by Caryn Keffer, creates a free forum in which participants read something—anything—of their choice out loud. Read Out Loud differs from these events, however, in its democratic nature. All attendees read, and all readers listen. Without rules or a predetermined reading order, participants govern each session themselves. Sometimes readers introduce or explain their chosen material, and sometimes participants engage with one another in discussions about readings. The variety of material shared at each session, the changing roster of readers, and the non-hierarchical nature of the gatherings ensure that every Read Out Loud is unique.
We have 20 available spots so you must register in order to participate (registration is free). You will receive an email confirming your registration with additional details about the program.
