MCA Denver Teens + Denver DJ School Present: The Art of Scratching A Teen Virtual Workshop

About the workshop:

Join us for a FREE 4 week, virtual teen workshop hosted by the Denver DJ School!

Learn the art of scratching from the comfort of your home with the Denver DJ School.

Grand Wizard Theodore is credited for inventing the scratching technique in 1975 at the age of 13. In the year 2020, the art of turntablism is alive and well!

DJ Staxx and DJ Chonz will be teaching you various scratching techniques. You will learn how to scratch on a portable turntable and record that the MCA Denver will provide you. Each class will be 60 minutes of fun, scratching to different styles of hip hop beats.

DJ equipment will be loaned to participants and available for pick up at MCA Denver. All participants must currently be in high school and residents of the metro Denver area.

This is a 4-week workshop and we will be meeting on Thursdays 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, and 12/3. We will not be meeting on the week of Thanksgiving.
