Join us for the opening of the Failure Lab Exhibition Opening, Friday, May 3!! Failure Lab students worked with artist Marsha Mack to create an immersive experience exploring the intimate realm that is the average American bathroom routine. Water Closet is an exploration into the unseen layers of the daily experiences which occur in the privacy of one’s bathroom. Through playful aesthetics, viewers are invited to confront ideas regarding personal and public spaces and the lines between them. Ultimately, Water Closet explores ideas related to consumerism, vanity, sexuality, and privacy, while enabling viewers the opportunity to reexamine their relationship with a most personal space.
Failure Lab is dedicated to developing creativity, becoming a place where the risk of failure is always a possibility. The Failure Lab teens have been working hard on their exhibition, and you don't want to miss out on the opening night! There will be orange drinks, tea sandwiches and pastries, an under-eye mask station, and a photo booth (obviously). Get ready for all these things and more.
Free for teens, as always.
