MCA Denver and the Biennial of the Americas invite you to a pre-screening (pre-screaming?) party for the infectiously charming genre-bending film Juan of the Dead. Bites by Highland Tap & Burger. Beats by Siembra Tropical.
After the reception, take your seat for the highly anticipated screening of Juan of the Dead, a Cuban horror-comedy that follows a group of friends who must fend off a zombie apocalypse in Havana with the help of their resident slacker, Juan. This film kicks off a summer of Cinema Azteca films curated by and presented in partnership with the Biennial of the Americas.
Cinema Azteca is an exciting film series that provides moviegoers with a diverse and dynamic perspective on the film traditions of Mexico and Latin America. Cinema Azteca is presented weekly on Tuesday nights at MCA Denver at the Holiday Theater.
