MCA Denver is taking a leading role to support the Caring 4 Denver Ballot Initiative that will improve Denver's ability to address mental health, substance abuse, and suicide prevention. Why? It's partly because it's an issue that affects us more than most. We know that creatives are about 25% more likely to suffer from mental health issues, a statistic that was made palpable for us this past year when we lost one of the shining stars in the Denver art community. Mostly, we believe in the importance of a place that creates a sense of belonging because we see art as a crucial part of caring about the well-being of our city as a whole. This event will launch our support and we'd love to have you join us, learn more about the ballot, and get involved with the cause.
