Music By:

  • Voight - Denver-based Voight has been churning out pummeling, danceable post-punk tracks since 2014. The tunes’ carry a blurry shapelessness to them; industrial rhythms blend with sequenced analog synthesizers complemented by unforgiving, yet elegantly beautiful guitar riffs, all soaked in a bleak haze of Shoe Gazey distortion. There’s an element of minimalism here that evokes an (at times) abrasive bittersweet melancholy reminiscent to that of early Blank Dogs, The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Soft Moon. The vocals are cold and haunting, providing a raw emotional depth that reminds you that this is something different and exciting.
  • Weathered Statuesa dark post-punk band from Denver featuring Jennie Mather on vocals and synthesizer, Jason Heller on guitar, Bryan Flanagan on bass, and Justin Lent on drums. Their debut album Borderlands was released on Svart Records in 2018, and Lol Tolhurst of The Cure remixed their song “Corpse Candle.” They toured Europe in the fall of 2018 and are currently working on their second album. Their songs dwell on themes of decay, loss, and dissent.
