- Danae Simone - Danae Simone Avery is twenty-six-years-old and started singing and writing poetry when she was six. Her first published poem was written when she was in the fourth grade, titled, “My monkey has the flu.” She comes from a family of musicians and gospel singers, so music has always been in her blood and songwriting and poetry plays a huge part in her artistic identity. In 2017, she created an all-female showcase called WCWLIVE, which was created as a platform for female creatives, giving them equal pay incentives, a place to write, record, and develop their music/artistry, and the opportunity to perform at some of the biggest music venues in Colorado.
