A Note From Nora About #GivingTuesdayNow
Dear friends,
MCA Denver's purpose of being the creative center of gravity for our city is at risk. Yet after eight weeks of closure and nearly $500,000 in lost revenue, I have seen how incredibly generous our community is, and I can’t thank you enough.
Today, May 5, I am asking for your generosity, as we participate in #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of unity and charitable giving created in response to the unprecedented need caused by the pandemic.
Your contribution will help MCA Denver navigate this crisis, and enable us to continue delivering bold, inspiring programs that make you think, while also creating an environment where civic and community connection remain not only possible, but paramount to our being. Now more than ever, our city needs this anchor, just as the museum needs your support.
In April, we launched a crowdfunding campaign, and we are nearly halfway to our goal of $200,000 - a feat that humbles and inspires us. I am hopeful that today, with your help, we can close the gap. If you are able, please contribute. Our goal is to add 50 donors to the MCA family on this special day. Every gift is doubled dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000 by our wonderful Board of Trustees, so you can double your impact.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported the museum at this critical moment, and welcome to our new donors and friends. I encourage you to view the video above, which features staff, board members, artists, and friends of the museum, to remind you of how much we love and miss you and how excited we are to welcome you back soon.
Warmly,
Nora Burnett Abrams
