Free admission for ALL TEENS

The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver invests in exhibitions and programs that challenge conventional thinking around what makes a museum a museum. This dialog between the museum and its audience is baked into the mission of the organization, making up the very DNA of programming and exhibitions. Like MCA Denver, teenagers are an audience whose development hinges on challenge and risk. Teens are trying on their own identities, discovering their place in the world, and pushing the boundaries of what they know and what they want to discover. 

Admission to MCA Denver is ALWAYS FREE FOR TEENS! We offer a space for teens that celebrates risk-taking and exploration; a place to connect with other teens, share experiences, and discover the art of our time through their own creation and interactions with other artists.

21 Below
A FREE party for teens created by teens! Join us Friday, January 24 for 21 Below, featuring teen bands, a burrito bar, games, and art (duh) on the third floor of the museum. This year's event is 80s/90s themed. Bring your friends and be there!

The Failure Award is based on documentation of a project the student created or produced while in high school that demonstrates originality and creativity. Soah Blake from Denver, CO is this year’s 2022 recipient of the Failure Award Scholarship. A budding filmmaker and screenwriter, Soah represents what it means to take risks for creative self-expression and storytelling.
