Laugh Your Craft Off is a series of craft workshops where you can make things with artists while comedians tell jokes. We’ve paired artists and crafters with comedians to take your grandma’s craft circle to a whole new level. There will be laughs! There will be crafts! So grab yourself a drink and come hangout with us!
Have you ever wanted to create your own bouquet for yourself or a friend and thought, “where in the heck do I even begin?” This bouquet-making workshop will be a fun introduction to design principles and florist tricks that will allow you to create a bouquet that is a direct expression of you. March is Women’s Herstory Month, so we will work with blooms and colors inspired by some of our favorite baddies in history!
About The Crafter: Breigh Jones-Coplin (she/her)
Dr. Breigh Jones-Coplin is the owner and founder of Black + Blossomed, LLC – a floral design company. Black + Blossomed creates floral arrangements for special events, photoshoots, and everyday décor. Breigh created Black + Blossomed to showcase Black art and ignite a movement away from merely surviving as a community to thriving and is passionate about intersecting the world of floral design and mental health. Black + Blossomed is also meant to be a community for all people to become an active participant in the beauty of the world around us and most importantly, the beauty within ourselves. We are all partaking in this process of growing, becoming, and blossoming and we hope to facilitate that process for each person.
About The Comedian: Darius Dinkins (he/him)
Darius Dinkins is a homegrown Denver performer and regular in comedy clubs all around the city, such as The Improv and Comedy Works. From coast to coast he’s played in clubs, churches, basements, and now your favorite art center. Darius told us he was also snubbed for senior class clown in high school. He claims.
