In 2003, when he was 25, McGinley was the youngest artist to have a solo show at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Guggenheim Museum, New York; the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D.C., the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, among others.
