It’s summertime, and your favorite off-beat lecture series is back! Mixed Taste returns to the Holiday Theater on July 10 for another season of mismatched fun! Join us as we find common ground and uncover unexpected connections between back-to-back lectures on the most unrelated topics.
At each event, two speakers take the stage, each presenting on a completely unrelated topic for twenty minutes. But the real magic happens when the audience steps in, finding unexpected connections between the two subjects. With new guest speakers, poets, comedians, and surprises every week and the charismatic Bobby LeFebre as our host, it’s a night of intellectual exploration like no other. Join us at the Holiday Theater every Wednesday!

About the Speakers
Nathan Hall is a composer and artist who explores site-specificity, nature and climate, sexuality, and personal identity. His works have been performed and exhibited in 16 countries and 24 US States. He holds his Doctorate in Musical Arts (DMA) from CU Boulder and teaches both at the University of Denver and at RMCAD.
Nicola Twilley is author of Frostbite: How Refrigeration Changed Our Food, Our Planet, and Ourselves, published by Penguin Press on June 25, 2024. Her first book, Until Proven Safe: The History and Future of Quarantine, was co-authored with Geoff Manaugh and was named one of the best books of 2021 by Time Magazine, NPR, the Guardian, and the Financial Times. She is a frequent contributor to The New Yorker, as well as co-host of the award-winning Gastropod podcast, which looks at food through the lens of history and science, and is part of the Vox Media Podcast Network in partnership with Eater.
