Your favorite off-beat lecture series is back at the Holiday Theater! Mixed Taste returns another summer of mismatched magic, where serious topics meet some not-so-serious fun.
Each night, two speakers take the stage with back-to-back talks on completely unrelated topics. But the real magic happens when the audience steps in for the Q&A, finding unexpected connections no one saw coming.
Hosted by the inimitable Bobby LeFebre, with new speakers, poets, and mash-ups every week, Mixed Taste is the intellectual joyride you didn’t know you needed.

About the Speakers
Karim Gharbi (Monarch Butterflies)
Karim Gharbi is a horticulture specialist with CSU Extension in Denver, where he offers expert guidance on everything from houseplants to urban pests. He leads community outreach efforts focused on historically underserved neighborhoods through workshops, site visits, and volunteer events. Karim holds degrees in biochemistry and entomology and has worked in settings from garden centers to the Smithsonian.
Jolt (Iconograffiti)
Jolt (Jeremy Ulibarri) is a Denver-born graffiti artist whose work spans massive public murals, fine art, and community-driven projects. Founder of Guerrilla Garden, he uses street art to transform spaces and inspire growth. Despite mainstream success, graffiti remains the core of his identity and creative mission.
