It’s summertime, and your favorite off-beat lecture series is back! Mixed Taste returns to the Holiday Theater on July 10 for another season of mismatched fun! Join us as we find common ground and uncover unexpected connections between back-to-back lectures on the most unrelated topics.
At each event, two speakers take the stage, each presenting on a completely unrelated topic for twenty minutes. But the real magic happens when the audience steps in, finding unexpected connections between the two subjects. With new guest speakers, poets, comedians, and surprises every week and the charismatic Bobby LeFebre as our host, it’s a night of intellectual exploration like no other. Join us at the Holiday Theater every Wednesday!
Topics: Modern Foodways & Caravaggio
Speakers: Michael Diaz de Leon & Leilani Lynch
Doors open at 6PM with drinks and snacks available for purchase.
FREE parking at North High School.
Your ticket to Mixed Taste includes admission to MCA Denver anytime before September 1. Simply show your confirmation email at the front desk of the museum.

About the Speakers
Chef Michael Diaz de Leon is a first-generation Mexican-American born on the border of México and the United States in the culturally rich city of El Paso, Texas. He has spent most of his life in the duality that exists in being raised in a border town and has always had an affinity for connection and community through food. Currently embarking on a journey of exploration and collaboration, Chef Michael’s new pop-up dinner experience will focus on shared space at the table through food and wine. Collaboration dinners and creation will be at the forefront of this new venture.
Chef Michael Diaz de Leon has been awarded the San Pellegrino Starchefs Game Changer Award in 2022. In 2023, Chef was also a James Beard Foundation Finalist for Best Chef Mountain States and was the recipient of the Michelin Guides Green Star and 1 star.
Leilani Lynch is Associate Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, joining the team in 2022. She recently organized exhibitions with Gala Porras-Kim, Steven Yazzie, Ken Gun Min, and Anna Tsouhlarakis. Prior to joining MCA Denver, Leilani held several curatorial positions at The Bass in Miami Beach. There, she curated solo and group exhibitions with noted contemporary artists. She holds a BA in Art History from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MAS in Curating from Zurich University of the Arts.
