About the Performers
Diego Florez is a Poet, Artist, and Musician born and raised in Denver. Leondelas Florez is a trio assembled of soul jazz with roots, feelings, and contemporary thought.
SETH hosts the Mercury Cafés Sunday night Jam Before the Slam, which fuses spoken word and music. Performance poet SETH is the author of A Black Odyssey and the absurdist satire The Perfect Stranger. Astin Lopez is a guitarist and singer/songwriter from Denver. He began playing guitar at 13 and it quickly became an obsession. He was playing and learning non-stop. Astin's music features elegant nylon string guitar passages with lyrics featuring themes of isolation and not fitting in. He plays his music at open mics such as Sacred Voices and venues such as Herman's Hideaway in the Denver area.
Scott Lofquist is a Colorado native. He has been writing songs since he was 15. He is a professional luthier for 37 years. His songs deliver joy and melodic excitement!
Cipriano Ortega is a member of Cipriano, a three piece low-rock trio (two string slide bass, tenor sax and drums). Using elements of the blues, jazz and rock, they make a whole new sound unlike anything you’ve ever heard. Their debut EP, A Whole New Low, is now available for sale on Band Camp and on CD.
