Nari Ward (b. 1963, St. Andrew, Jamaica; lives and works in New York) is one of the most significant and original artists working today. Ward is best known for his large-scale sculptures and installations, many of which are created from unexpected materials collected around his neighborhood. His incisive works frequently comment on issues surrounding race, poverty, consumerism, and diasporic identity in American culture.
This special event offers a chance to connect, learn, explore, and engage with some of the most compelling art of our time – and all that the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver does to bring it to the forefront.
