About The Speakers:

Alicia Bruce” Trujillo is an arts and music professional in Denver, CO. Known professionally as Bruce, she has been working in music and arts organizations since 2006, with a mission to collaborate with communities who are systematically excluded, with a focus on independent and locally made music and art.

Trujillo is the founder of Manos Sagrados, a multi-use space with live music and entertainment, artist and recording studios, and movement classes, by and for BIPOC, femme, 2SLGBTQ+, and disabled folks, on the infamous Colfax Avenue, in the center of the Aurora Cultural Arts District.

Anthony Garcia Sr. (@birdseedanthony) was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, more specifically in the Globeville community. Beginning as a graffiti writer, Anthony has since grown into a multifaceted creative entrepreneur and community leader. His artistic style incorporates traditional Chicano motifs. He pays homage to cultural, geographical, and historical contexts through the implementation of modern techniques and exploration of pop trends.

He is co-founder of the Birdseed Collective (@thebirdseedcollective), a Denver-based nonprofit that aims to make a positive impact in local communities through programs and projects that emphasize creativity, educating and enabling the disadvantaged and the under-resourced.

Hakeem Furious is a wordsmith hailing from Jacksonville, Florida and developing his roots in the Rocky Mountains. He graduated from a southern arts high school as a Theater major and developed a knack for words when he was involved with the spoken word community established at Florida A&M University, an HBCU that cultivated his understanding, appreciation, and preservation of Black culture and resilience. Currently, he travels the country performing poetry, curating shows, and writing curriculum and grants as CEO of the #UltraTerrestrialTour.
