These two creative visionaries will share their perspectives on the intersection of art and fashion, strategies around sustainability in the fashion industry, and the sources of inspiration that guide their work and brands.
This event is a precursor to the third annual MCA Max Mix Runway Show on Friday, April 19. This singular event will celebrate MCA Denver, MAX Clothing Stores, and the bold and inspiring vision of Another Tomorrow.
About the Speakers
Vanessa Barboni Hallik is the founder and CEO of Another Tomorrow, a B Corp Certified end-to-end sustainable design company with a mission to model a new future for fashion with a fully digitized product eco-system delivering technology-enabled transparency and authenticated recommerce. She is also an investor in early-stage companies positioned to catalyze systemic change.
Vanessa serves on the Advisory Board for Harvard’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, where current work focuses on the ethics of AI. She is an active speaker on innovation, digitalization, and new business models built for resilience. Vanessa has been featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, Bloomberg, Forbes, and Vogue for her work, and is one of Wallpaper* magazine’s USA300 and Worth Magazine’s Worthy100.
Karla Martínez de Salas is the Head of Editorial Content for Vogue Mexico and Latin America. She began her career at Vogue US, becoming an Associate Fashion Editor in 2002. She was the Fashion Director for T magazine of The New York Times from 2005 to 2010, gaining insights into fashion, interior design, art, and travel. She then served as Fashion Director at Interview magazine before becoming the Fashion and Accessories Director of W Magazine in 2011. In 2015, she moved to Mexico City and worked as a freelancer for Cooperativa Shop and collaborated with Armarium World.
She became Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Mexico and Latin America in 2016, and she since has enhanced the magazine’s editorial line and established new market alliances. Her role has garnered interviews with major publications and appearances on TV and radio, discussing her achievements at Vogue. She was included in The Business of Fasion’s US’s 500 international fashion-leaders list and has led Vogue Mexico and Latin America to win awards for best editorial content.
A key figure in Project Paz, she aims to foster peace through extracurricular activities for low-income children in Ciudad Juarez. Karla has collaborated with industry icons, contributing significantly to Vogue Mexico and Latin America’s growth and influence in the region.
