Be Kind Rewind Film Screening
Inspired by the women in front of and behind the camera currently on view at the museum, MCA Denver, in partnership with Denver Film, presents Depth of Field, a series celebrating female cinematographers. Highlighting often unacknowledged women’s labor and the efforts of cinematographers more broadly, this series provides a sampling of the work of contemporary female cinematographers.
Screenings will take place at MCA Denver and the Sie FilmCenter.
On Tuesday, February 18, join us for the film screening of BE KIND REWIND.
Two video store clerks (Jack Black and Yasiin Bey) are forced to re-shoot every movie in the store- with no budget or professional equipment- after accidentally erasing all the tapes.
Cinematography by Ellen Kuras, who is also responsible for the beautiful and surreal look of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Featuring Be Kind Rewind bingo organized by Blake Jackson and Nate Bishop from the Popcorn and Jalapeños podcast.

FAQs
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Street parking is limited. The garage directly across 15th Street is $5 after 4pm. The museum is walking distance from Union Station and the 16th Street Free Mall Ride. Please don't drive if you plan on drinking.
What if I'm really really thirsty during the event?
We have happy hour up in the cafe from 5–7PM. You're welcome to bring a drink down to the Whole Room, or purchase beer and wine during the screening in the Whole Room.
Can I check out the galleries after the talk?
Unfortunately, the galleries will close at 7PM when the screening begins. We recommend checking out the galleries beforehand, but you can also bring your BE KIND REWIND ticket back for free admission to the museum within a month after the screening.
