Pontalba Large Circle Bag
By bustleworship
Functional. Beautiful. Foreverloved.
Darkly romantic and richly storied, this one-of-a-kind circle bag is crafted from a vintage velvet tapestry depicting a scene in front of a Pontalba building, named after the Baroness Pontabla — an icon of resilience and rebellion, and one of the most influential women in New Orleans history. Known for shaping the heart of the French Quarter with her namesake buildings and enduring legacy, the Baroness brings a sense of power and place to this piece. An upcycled bullet casing anchors the design with raw elegance, while a 1970s deadstock plumber’s chain adds weight and edge. Finished with a smooth zipper, it’s a piece made to hold what matters — past, present, and personal.
Designed for versatility, it can be worn as a crossbody, purse, or fanny pack — shapeshifting with your day and your direction.
