Tell Your Story, Submit Your Film

* Anti-Hero; someone who is unconventional, misunderstood, marginalized, subversive, anti-establishment, queer, or something in between

As history continues to center the conquerors, the kings, the wealthy and the powerful, it is time to question the corrupt norms we subscribe to in our history classes and revolutionize a new telling: the telling of the Anti-Hero’s story.

The Anti-Hero is written out of history books, is unpalatable, is against the homogeneity of dominant culture, is unorthodox. The Anti-Hero realizes they cannot move into an equitable future if they are force-fed the injustices of the past. The Anti-Hero writes their own story.

The Anti-Hero Film Festival seeks to share and celebrate stories and experiences that have been left out of history by highlighting the voices of womxn, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Join the Anti-Hero. Write your story. Apply to the Anti-Hero Film Festival.
