Feminism & Co. is a weekly lecture series at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver that explores contemporary culture through issues relating to women and gender. With film screenings, music, performances, lectures and discussions, these events address women’s (and men’s) complicated relationship to art, politics and sexuality.

Artist Senga Nengudi
Artist Senga Nengudi introduces her new exhibition Senga Nengudi: The Material Body, featuring a series of sculptures that evoke the elasticity and durability of the female body. This exhibition is on view at MCA Denver from April 10–July 13. This special opening day program features a discussion with artist Senga Nengudi; Nora Burnett Abrams, MCA Denver associate curator; and Elissa Auther, Feminism & Co.'s co-director.

The New Anti-Heroine
Sarah Hagelin, TV critic and professor of cultural studies at CU Denver, breaks down the phenomena of Lena Dunham's HBO series Girls, as well as discussing the rise of the anti-heroine on TV shows and web broadcasts including Homeland, Enlightened, The Maria Bamford Show, and The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl.
