MAY 12, 2009 –JANUARY 3, 2010
Jim Green aims to make public space more personable by introducing an element of humor and surprise. Classically trained in drawing and painting, he has worked with sound as his preferred medium for over 25 years, playfully integrating unexpected recordings into the built environment.
Green brought his usual adolescent mischievousness to his project for MCA Denver and in an uncommon approach for the artist included a visible, mechanized installation as an essential part of the work.
This project was sponsored in part by 8020 Inc., The Industrial Erector Set, and SunSource.
